About the View Tab
The View tab consists of groups of commands that you can use to set the display of items and to navigate a layout.
Cross Section Import Group
Use the Cross Section Import commands to set the display of a model when importing a cross section into a layout.
Display Style—Sets the display style of the model in the window. Click the arrow to display the following commands:
Shading With Edges—Displays the layout with shading and model edges.
Shading—Displays the layout with shading.
Hidden Line—Displays hidden lines in faint tones.
No Hidden—Does not display lines behind forward surfaces.
Wireframe—Displays front and back lines equally.
Use the following commands to show or hide entities in the cross section before importing it into the layout:
Plane Display—Datum planes
Axis Tag Display—Datum axis tags
Csys Display—Coordinate systems
Plane Tag Display—Plane tags
Point Display—Datum points
Csys Tag Display—Coordinate system tags
Axis Display—Datum axes
Point Tag Display—Datum point tags
Repaint Group
Use the Repaint command to refresh the graphics window.
Navigation group
Use the Navigation commands to navigate a layout.
Refit—Zooms and pans the view to accommodate all of the elements in the layout.
Refit to Format—Zooms and pans the view to accommodate all of the elements within the format defined for the layout.
Zoom In—Increases the magnification of an area in the layout by specifying its boundaries.
Zoom Out—Decreases the magnification of the layout.
Pan—Moves the layout.
Zoom Port—Opens and closes the zoom port.
Navigation
Previous—Returns the display to the previous view.
Scroll Bars—Shows and hides scroll bars in the graphics window.
Show Group
Use the Show commands to set the display of constraints, and hatching and fill.
Grid—Use these commands to toggle the display of datums and datum tags.
Constraints—Shows and hides constraints.
Hatching & Fill—Shows and hides the hatching and fill.
Grid Group
Grid—Use these commands to toggle and set the display of the grid and the origin to help create, place, and manipulate entities.
Origin—Toggles the display of the origin.
Grid—Shows and hides the grid.
Snap to Grid—Toggles the snap of entities to the grid.
Set Origin—Positions the origin.
Grid—Use the options in the Grid Settings dialog box to set the grid display.
Design Aids Group
Design Aids—Use these commands to toggle and set the display of design aids in the graphics window to help create, place, and manipulate entities.
Guides—Shows and hides guides.
Design Aids—Use the options in the Design Aids dialog box to set the guide display.
Window Group
Use the Window commands to activate and close a layout.

Window
New—Opens a new window with the current layout.
Maximize—Maximizes the window.
Restore—Restores the window to the preview size.
Default Size—Resizes the window to the default size.
