To Automatically Create Ordinate Dimensions
1. Create a drawing of the model for which you want to automatically create ordinate dimensions.
2. Click > > 
Ordinate Dimension, and click 
Auto Ordinate Dimension. You are prompted to select one or more surfaces.
Ordinate Dimension, and click Auto Ordinate Dimension. You are prompted to select one or more surfaces.3. Select one or more surfaces for which you want to create ordinate dimensions. The AUTO ORDINATE menu appears.
 | You must select surfaces belonging to the same view of the drawing. |
4. Click Select Base Line.
5. Select an edge, curve, or datum plane as the reference line in the same view in which you selected the surface or surfaces. The ordinate dimensions are created automatically and are displayed in the view.
6. Click Done/Return on the AUTO ORDINATE menu.
You can click > > 
Auto Ordinate Reference Dimension to create auto ordinate reference dimensions in the same way as you create auto ordinate dimensions.
