To Export the Designated Model Parameters as Assigned Attributes

Data Management > Data Management > Managing Heterogeneous CAD Data > CATIA-Centric HDIC > To Export the Designated Model Parameters as Assigned Attributes

1. Set the following configuration options:

◦ hdic_export_v5_to_ws_enable yes

◦ intf3d_out_parameters designated

2. Open a Creo part.

3. Click Tools > Parameters and designate model parameters in the Parameters dialog box.

4. Check in the part to Windchill as a CAD Document.

5. Click File > Save As > Save a Copy to export the part to CATIA V5. A CATPart file is created in the Workspace.

6. Check in the CATPart to Windchill.

7. View the Details page of the CATPart CAD Document in the Creo browser. The designated parameters of the Creo part are propagated to the CATPart and are displayed as the assigned attributes of the CATPart with appropriate values.
