You can designate parameters in a bulk item to communicate the values of these parameters to Windchill. Windchill supports model and component parameters for designation.

If a parameter in the bulk item template requires a user input each time a Creo application displays the model, then this parameter is a component parameter and is passed to Windchill as a component parameter. Additionally, all parameters that are driven by a relationship with a component parameter are also considered as component parameters.

You can view all the component and the model parameters for a bulk item by clicking Info > Model. If the status of the parameter in the Component Based column is yes, then the parameter is a component parameter. Otherwise, it is a model parameter.
