To Create an Export Profile for a Format at Runtime
1. Open a part or assembly and click File > Save As > Save a Copy. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.
2. Select a file-type for the export in Type.
3. Click Options. The export profile editor for the selected file-type opens. The format-specific export profile editor displays the export settings of the current profile in use.
4. Customize the export settings in the profile editor to suit your requirements or retain the current values of the export settings.
5. Click Save Profile and use the Save export profile dialog box to save the changed settings in the profile editor as the export profile for the format, by the name def_profile.dep_<format>. You can save the export profile in the profiles directory by default or select a location of your choice.
6. Click OK in the export profile editor to accept the changes you made to the current export profile in use. The changed settings on the export profile are persistent for the subsequent export of models to the specific format until you explicitly change the settings.
*
You must click Reset in the export profile editor to discard the changed settings and revert to the system-defined settings on the current profile or click Cancel to cancel all changes you made to the current export profile.
7. Click OK in the Save a Copy dialog box.
