About the Insert Curve by Projection User Interface

The Insert Curve by Projection feature is identified by on the Import DataDoctor ribbon tab.
The UV-Curve By Projection Tab
The UV-Curve By Projection tab consists of:
Surface collector—Allows you to select a surface on which to project the curve.
Direction list—Allows you to select the projection direction. The direction list has the following options:
Normal to surface—Projects the curve normal to the curve plane, or a specified plane or surface.
Along direction—Projects the curve along a specified direction.
Direction reference collector—Allows you to select a direction reference. You can select an edge or curve as the direction reference. This collector is available only if you set the Direction to Along direction.
Tabs within the UV-Curve By Projection Tab
The UV-Curve By Projection tab contains the References tab. This tab consists of the following options:
Chains collector—Allows you select curves or edges to project.
Details—Opens the Chain dialog box and allows you to modify the properties of a chain.
Surface collector—Allows you to select a surface to project the curve.
Direction Reference collector—Allows you to select a direction reference. You can select an edge or curve as the direction reference.
Flip—Changes the direction of a projected curve.
