To Upload a non-Creo Model Opened from Disk to Windchill Workspace
1. Register a Windchill server in a session of Creo.
2. Click File > Open and set Type to All Files (*) or the file format of Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V4 or V5, NX, SolidWorks, or Creo Elements/Direct in the File Open dialog box.
3. Browse and select the part or assembly model that belongs to the specified format from a folder or directory on the local disk of your computer.
4. Click Open to retrieve the Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, Creo Elements/Direct, NX, or SolidWorks part or assembly as a non-Creo model from the local disk.
5. Click File > Check In > Custom Check In or File > Save > Save and Upload. The model is uploaded from the local disk to the Windchill Workspace and the glyph of the CAD Document is displayed in Windchill.
6. In the Creo browser, open the Details page or the CAD Document Properties Page (CDPP) of the non-Creo model. The model appears as a non-Creo CAD Document.
