To Break the Associativity Between a TIM or ATB-enabled Feature and Reference Model
1. Select a Translated Image Model (TIM) or an Associative Topology Bus (ATB)-enabled feature.
You can only break the link of a TIM component with the main assembly. You cannot break the links of the subassembly TIM components with the main assembly.
2. Click Model > Operations > ATB > Make Independent or right-click and click Associative Topology Bus > Make Independent. A warning appears in the Creo Parametric message window stating that breaking the ATB link is permanent and cannot be established if it is broken.
*
It is a permanent and irreversible action and you cannot re-establish the associative link.
3. Click OK in the message window. The imported model or feature is
Independent of its original reference model and is owned by Creo Parametric. It is a standard part, assembly, or feature.
Converted to a standard Creo Parametric model or import feature.
