About the Dowel Pin Fastener Definition Dialog Box
Use the Dowel Pin Fastener Definition dialog box to define the dowel pin fastener. Enter values for all active areas.
1. Select the catalog from the Catalog list.
2. In the Dowel Pin area, select from the adjacent lists to define the fastener.
Select the dowel pin.
Set the diameter or click to select a hole surface to measure. The diameter is selected automatically.
Set the dowel pin length.
Enter a different value for Depth if required.
3. Click the arrow next to 2D – Preview to expand or collapse the 2D preview of the current dowel pin fastener definition.
4. Click the arrow in the upper right corner to expand or collapse the Hole area for the Top Bore and the Bottom Bore.
Select the Hole Type and enter a different value if required.
If more than one hole chart is available, select the hole chart you want to use for the selected hole type.
Select the Tolerance and enter a different value for Upper tolerance and for Lower tolerance if required.
5. Click Preview to show a preview of the dowel pin fastener in Creo Parametric.
6. Click OK to assemble the dowel pin fastener using your definition or click Cancel to close the Dowel Pin Fastener Definition dialog box.
