About Working with Assembly Components
Components in an assembly are treated the same way as features in a part. Therefore, you can use the component operations commands in Assembly Design the way you use feature operations commands in Part mode. Component operations are accessed by right-clicking the component on the Model Tree and making a selection from the shortcut menu.
Component operations include the following tasks:
Copying
Grouping
Deleting
Editing
Suppressing, freezing, and resuming
Editing references
Reordering
Redefining placement constraints
Defining flexibility
Patterning
Replacing
