To Insert a Simplify Component in an Interchange Assembly

Assembly Design > Assembly Design > Using Assembly > Working with Assembly Components > Interchange Assemblies > To Insert a Simplify Component in an Interchange Assembly

1. Open an interchange assembly.

2. Click

Simplify. The Open dialog box opens.

3. Choose the component to insert and click Open. The Simplify Component dialog box opens.

4. Select a functional component in the interchange assembly that will be replaced by the selected simplify component. The Component Placement tab opens.

5. Place the component.

6. Set mass properties for the simplify component.

7. Click Add to add another simplify component.

8. Select the component in the dialog box. Click Remove to remove it or click Placement to open the Component Placement tab and redefine the component's placement in the interchange assembly.

9. Click OK.
