About Displaying Welds
You can control the display of welding features in the graphics window, the Model Tree, the Layer Tree, and in other applications. When working in Welding mode, you can make various selections to modify how and when weld features appear.
This topic discusses the following:
Displaying Features in the Model Tree
Features in assemblies are not visible in the Model Tree by default. You must display them.
In the Model Tree, click

Tree Filters. The Model Tree Items dialog box opens. Under Display, select the Features check box. The Model Tree expands to include all features, including welding features.

Set the configuration option def_layers to layer_weld_feat <layername> to display weld features in the Layer Tree. All weld features are automatically included in the layer.
Displaying Welds in the Graphics Window
By default, welds are visible in the graphics window. You can toggle the display of welds off and on.

3. Under Welds display settings, select the Show welds check box to display welds, or clear the Show welds check box to remove the display of welds from the graphics window.
When light welds are displayed in applications other than Welding, or when they are exported and appear in 2D and 3D interfaces such as IGES and STEP, they appear as thick lines. The thickness of the light weld line distinguishes it from a regular datum curve.
