About Semantic Query
Semantic Query is a special analyze mode that helps you to obtain the semantic information related to annotations. The Semantic Query button in the Query group of the Annotate tab launches the Semantic Query mode. In this mode, you can query annotations and analyze the complex relationships between the annotations and the geometry in Model-based Definition (MBD) environment.
The Semantic Query Toolbar
The Semantic Query toolbar appears when you launch the Semantic Query mode. You can use the commands on this toolbar to control the visibility of the semantic objects.
The following icons on the Semantic Query toolbar are used to display or hide the related semantic objects:

Description
Displays all the annotations describing the highlighted references of the currently selected annotation.
Displays the primary references of the selected annotation.
Displays the references of annotations associated with the currently selected annotation (secondary references).
Displays the datum symbols, such as Datum Feature and Datum Target associated with the currently selected annotation.
Displays a Datum Reference Frame (DRF) coordinate system associated with the currently selected GTOL.
Displays a GTOL associated with the currently selected datum symbol, such as Datum Feature or Datum Target.
Selecting Geometry
You can click Semantic Query and select an annotation or select the annotation and click Semantic Query.
You can select the annotation in the Graphics window or the Detail Tree.
Clearing the Selection
You can right-click in the Graphics window and select the Clear option to clear the selection of annotations.
Highlighting Objects Related to the Selected Annotations
When you select an object, all the semantic objects, such as model faces, annotations, and supplementary geometry are highlighted in different colors.
You can customize the following colors in the Creo Parametric Options dialog box:
Primary highlight
Secondary highlight
Preselection highlight
Selected
Combination States
You can right-click in the Graphics window and select the Add to Combination State option to add the currently selected annotation to the current Combination State.
You can right-click in the Graphics window and select the Add highlighted annotations to Combination State option to add all the currently selected and highlighted annotations to the current Combination State.
