Fixed Constraint—Generative Design
A fixed constraint prevents a selected surface from moving or deforming, that is it removes all degrees of freedom from the surface.
To Define a Fixed Constraint
1. Click Constraints > Fixed. The Fixed Constraint dialog box opens.
2. Specify a Name for the constraint or accept the default name. Optionally, click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, and the text displayed for the constraint.
3. Select one or more surface of the model to constrain. Your selections appear in the References collector.
4. Click OK to create the constraint and save it.
