About Communicating Server Status in a Windchill Connected Session of Creo
When multiple users access the same server objects, Creo accesses the Windchill database and notifies the users about the status of the server objects. The glyphs or symbols in the 
Windchill Server Status column of the Model Tree represent the current status of the server objects. The glyphs indicate whether users can concurrently work on the latest version of the server objects without overwriting each other’s changes in the multi-user environment.

 | When a server object has more than a single status, the Windchill Server Status column in the Model Tree only displays the status symbol or glyph that corresponds with the most severe state of the server object. The tooltip of the status symbol or glyph displays the additional status of the server object in the order of priority, the most severe to the least severe. |
The status of the server objects helps you determine the consequence of your intended actions. For instance, when a server object is checked out by another user and the changes made require an upload and check in to the server, the Windchill Server Status column displays the glyph that represents critical server information. You can then defer your intention to reference the object until its out-of-date status is cleared. If you are warned that the iteration of the server object you are trying to check out is not the latest, you can perform an Update action to add the latest iteration of the object to the Workspace.

The Model Tree and the Notification Center then display the current and the active status symbols and notifications of the server objects. The Notification Center reports critical information and warnings regarding the state of the server objects. The symbols that are no longer valid are removed from the Windchill Server Status column and the status of the server objects on the Model Tree are up-to-date.

You can confirm the status of the server objects in Creo even though the status of the server objects in the Windchill Server Status column and the Workspace listing page are synchronized, consistent, and up-to-date.
