About Windchill Table Views Displayed in the File Open Dialog Box
You can access the Workspace and the Commonspace table views from the Views menu in the File Open dialog box. The table views display a list of attribute columns in the File Open dialog box. The attribute columns of the Windchill table views are strings, icons, or a combination of strings and icons.
The icons columns in the Commonspace are as follows:
• General status
• Share status
The icons columns in the Workspace are as follows:
• Modified status
• Local workspace status
• General status
• Share status
• Compare status
You cannot remove or hide table views that are not valid in the File Open dialog box. Such table views in the Commonspace are as follows:
• Parts
• Documents
• Change objects
• Variant specifications
• Variant parts
• Links
• Promotion requests
• Dynamic documents
The Workspace table views that are invalid are as follows:
• Parts only
• Dynamic documents only
You can switch between all table views and the table view of the featured objects from the Tools menu in the File Open dialog box. All views is the default. If you define Windchill table views as hide, they are not visible.
Browsing the offline or portable Workspace does not display any user-defined table view. When working offline, the table view is List or Details. List view shows only file names while the Details view shows general file attributes.
If the table view definition changes from the server side, the up-to-date definition of the user-defined table view is displayed when you access the table view in the File Open dialog box. The order of the table views is consistent and is the same as in Windchill.
