Import Improvements for Inventor
There are improvements when importing Inventor files.
User Interface Location: Click File > Open and then in the Type box, select Inventor Part (*.ipt ) or Inventor Assembly (*.iam).
Release: Creo Parametric 6.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
In the Import New Model dialog box, select the Enable ATB check box to select a representation for Inventor data.
Import Improvements for Inventor
A description of what is imported by representation type, follows:
• Master—Geometric and nongeometric data for the part or assembly. This displays the full representation of the part or assembly and is the default.
• Graphic—The display data of the part or assembly along with their product structures. If you select Graphic, you can change the representation to the master only.
• Structure—The product structures and the meta data of the part or assembly. If you select Structure, you can change the representation to the master or graphic.
Processing time is decreased, and you have more control over the representation of imported Inventor data.
