Export Materials, Colors, and Lattices to 3D Manufacturing Format
The export of Creo geometry to 3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) is extended to include materials and colors, and lattices.
User Interface Location: Click File > Save As and then in the Type box, select 3MF (*.3mf).
Release: Creo Parametric 6.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
In Creo Parametric 6.0.0.0, support for 3MF continues to grow. You can include part colors when exporting to 3MF for an improved experience.
When designing for additive manufacturing, there are cases when the part contains multiple colors and materials. Not all printers can open a Creo file directly but can open a 3MF file. The export to 3MF supports materials and colors so the 3MF file is the best option for printing. When exported to 3MF and then printed using the 3MF file, you can print in multiple colors. In addition, lattices are supported.
