Improved Associative Drawing Import from Creo Elements/Direct for Section Views
The associative drawing import of Creo Elements/Direct provides support for Surface Sections in Section Views.
User Interface Location: Click File > Open and then in the Type box select Creo Elements/Direct Drawing.

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
Associative drawing import saves time when creating drawings in Creo Parametric for imported Creo Elements/Direct 3D models with associative drawings. Dimensions associative to the 3D model, maintain their associativity to the 3D model after the transfer to Creo Parametric. This improvement strengthens the associative transfer of more complex drawings that include section views created with the surface section option.

Limitations: | Associative import of the combination of cutaway views and exploded states is not supported for the following: • Aligned section views • Section views referencing partial views • Views with a configuration that is combined with sections or surface sections • View containing secured parts • Sectioned faced parts • Fully associative dimension updates, when the model changes, are supported for part-level drawings only |
