About the Creo Modelcheck Gatekeeper
The Creo ModelCHECK Gatekeeper is a Windchill-based process that can prevent the check in of Creo models until they meet predefined criteria. It summarizes the Creo ModelCHECK validation checks of parts, assemblies, and drawings in attributes that can be quantified and uses these attributes to prevent the check in of poor quality models to Windchill locations.
The gatekeeper requires that the objects for check in meet the following criteria:
The models must have zero errors, as defined by the MC_ERROR parameter and verified by the corresponding Windchill object attribute with the same name. The Gatekeeper verifies that the value of the MC_ERROR attribute is zero and that you have not modified this value.
Must have been evaluated by Creo ModelCHECK on the same day as the check in, as defined by the MODEL_CHECK parameter and verified by the corresponding Windchill object attribute with the same name. The Gatekeeper verifies that the value of the MODEL_CHECK attribute reflects the current day and that you have not manually modified this date.
When you run Creo ModelCHECK on Creo Parametric parts, assemblies, and drawings, Creo ModelCHECK uses the relevant configuration files on the models to validate them, generates and summarizes the validation results, and writes them to the parameters in the models.
When you upload these models to Windchill locations, their parameter values are transferred to the corresponding global attributes of CAD documents. During the check in of these models, the Gatekeeper validates whether these attributes satisfy the required limits and the Creo ModelCHECK-specific server preferences you have set. The Gatekeeper accordingly allows or prevents the check in of these models into Windchill locations.
Parts, assemblies, and drawings that do not meet these criteria fail to pass the Gatekeeper and are not checked in. The Event Manager, accessed by clicking Tools > Event Manager <server>, notifies you of the check in failures. You can modify the models and rerun Creo ModelCHECK on the models that fail check in until they achieve zero errors and are checked in.
