Description
Previously, GD&T Advisor did not support intent surfaces or individual surfaces in the Surface sets collector.
You can now leverage Creo intent surfaces and collect them as semantic references for annotations when working with GD&T Advisor.
The following improvements have been implemented:
You can use the pick from list option to collect intent surfaces when defining new functional features in GD&T Advisor or validating Creo annotations that contain intent surfaces, whether added to Individual or Surface sets collectors.
GD&T Advisor now supports and validates individual references added to the Surface sets collector for annotations.
Benefits
This enhancement improves the process by allowing Creo intent surfaces to quickly collect multiple surfaces that represent the design intent in an associative way, which will be updated as the model changes. This will save users a lot of time and effort, compared to manually collecting surfaces in a non-associative way.
Additional Information
Tips:
None.
Limitations:
GD&T Advisor does not yet support the following collection methods in this version for the creation or validation of GD&T annotations:
Datum reference features of type Intent surfaces that are used by Creo annotation
Surfaces that were collected using rule-based collection methods, like Seed and Boundary Surfaces, Loop Surfaces, and so on.
Does this replace existing functionality?
No.
Configuration option associated with this functionality:
None.
