Using Auxiliary Windows in Creo Ansys Simulation
Only one result can be displayed in the main window for an active study. Creo Ansys Simulation allows you to launch an auxiliary results window for the active study that can be used for the following purposes:
To view multiple evaluated results at the same time, side-by-side.
To view out-of-date results.
For the active study, select the result in the Simulation Tree, right-click and select Launch in Auxiliary Window to open the results in a secondary window. You can open a maximum of four auxiliary windows for an active study.
The following commands are available in the auxiliary window.
Saved Analysis—Enables you to view all the saved probes in the model.
View Results—Select and view results for the active study. The auxiliary window will switch to showing the selected result.
When viewing global results, select the result you want to view from the results legend.
—Toggles between displaying deformed or undeformed results. By default deformed results are displayed.
Click the arrow next to , to use the following additional options for deformed results:
Autoscale—Default option. Select a fixed value from the adjoining list as a scaling factor for the deformed results.
Deformation Scale—Specify a positive real number as a scaling factor for the deformed results where a value of 1 indicates no scaling, or a true result.
View animation of deformation results using the following commands:
Start—Starts animation of deformation results.
Pause—Pauses the animation of deformation results.
Stop—Stops the animation of deformation results.
Speed—Changes the speed of animation.
—Allows you to view the value of the selected result at individual substeps. Move the slider or specify a value for time.
Minimum Chart—Displays a graph of the minimum values of the selected result quantity over time.
Maximum Chart—Displays a graph of the maximum values of the selected result quantity over time
Simulation Query—Creates a simulation query to allow you to view the results at a point.
Close—Closes the auxiliary window and returns to the Creo Ansys Simulation application.
Re-running the active simulation study in the main Creo Ansys Simulation window, activating another study, or closing the application, closes all auxiliary windows.
