Stiff Shrink
A Stiff Shrink is a sheath component through which multiple cables and wires can be routed. Unlike Bundles, Stiff Shrink does not bend and remains straight along its axis.

Stiff shrinks are cosmetic features referencing a spool bulk item.
|
To create a stiff shrink feature, do the following:
1. Click
Stiff Shrink from the
Cosmetics group in the ribbon.
2. Select a branch location or a coordinate system to place the stiff shrink.
| You can first create a Stiff Shrink and then route new cables through it or select an existing location and then place a Stiff Shrink on all cables that go through that location. |
3. Click

to select an existing shrink spool to base the new Stiff Shrink component or click

to create a new shrink spool. Modify the spool parameter values from the
Electrical Parameters dialog box if needed. For more information, refer
To Edit Spool Parameters.
4. Enter the length of the Stiff Shrink in the Length box. The Stiff Shrink is placed symmetrically with its midpoint aligned with the selected location.
5. Click
OK. A Stiff Shrink is created.
All cables passing through the selected location are added to the Stiff Shrink. A new coordinate system is created at the selected location if you have placed the component on a location. The Stiff Shrink has a direction along the z axis. You can reorient a Stiff Shrink by using the coordinate system.
