Starting with Creo 12, harnesses are created as standalone assemblies. They can be opened, edited, and reused independently. With harnesses as assemblies, you can perform a wider range of assembly operations directly within the Cabling application without needing to exit the cabling environment.

You can create several harnesses in the same assembly; however, only one harness assembly is active at a time. You can add features and select cabling entities only in the active harness.
