To Export Weld and Joint Information in xMCF Format
You can export from Creo to an xMCF (Extended Master Connection File) file. It is an .xml structured file as defined by ISO 8329. This format defines standards for connection and joint information. It can be used across different engineering functions, tools, and stages in product lifecycle management.
Currently, connection information is exported only for Joint Members and Spot Weld features in xMCF format.
1. Click Welding > Info > Export. The Export Welds and Joints Information dialog box opens.
2. To define the format of the .xml file to export, next to Type, click the arrow and select a format:
Creo-Weld—Exports as an .xml structured file.

You can define the default .xml file format by setting the weld_export_type configuration option.
