About Exporting Welding Information
You can export the information for the welds and joints in a model as an XML file. The information can be used downstream in processes like OLP (offline programming) for robotic welding.
Connection information can be exported in two formats:
Creo-Weld—Exports information about welding features as an .xml structured file for all weld types.
xMCF (Extended Master Connection File)—Exports connection and joint information as an .xml structured file as defined by ISO 8329 so it can be used across different engineering functions, tools, and stages in product lifecycle management.
Currently, connection information is exported only for Joint Members and Spot Weld features.
The XML file is exported to the working directory. The parameters that are exported depend on the type of weld. The coordinates that are exported are measured from the default coordinate system of the model.
