To Define and Edit Welding Parameters
You can define user-defined parameters for welds, welding materials, and welding processes. You can edit application parameters generated by the Welding application and user-defined parameters.
1. Open the Parameters dialog box by doing one of the following actions:
◦ From the Fillet Weld, Groove Weld, Butt Weld, Plug/Slot Weld, or Spot Weld tab, click the Properties tab, and then click Define next to Feature Parameters.
2. Under Look In, select the object type to which to add a parameter. The Select box opens.
3. Select an object from the Weld and Joint Tree or graphics window. The Select box closes.

4. Click
in the
Parameters dialog box. A new row is added in the parameters list.
5. Type a name for the parameter in the Name box.
6. Under Type, select the parameter type.
7. Type a value or select from a list of values in the Value box.
8. If necessary, under Access, select access to the parameter.
9. Click OK.
To Edit Welding Parameters
1. Open the Parameters dialog box by doing one of the following actions:
◦ Right-click a welding feature in the Weld and Joint Tree or graphics window, and then choose
Parameters from the shortcut menu.
◦ From the Fillet Weld, Groove Weld, Butt Weld, Plug/Slot Weld, or Spot Weld tab, click the Properties tab, and then click Define next to Feature Parameters.
◦ Click > . Under Look In, select an object type, and then select an object.
2. Select a parameter to edit from the parameters list.
3. Edit as required.
4. Click OK.
