To Save and Retrieve Sheetmetal Design Settings

Sheetmetal > Setting Up Sheetmetal Design > To Save and Retrieve Sheetmetal Design Settings

1. Click File > Prepare >

Model Properties. The Model Properties dialog box opens.

You can right-click a body in the Model Tree and select

Preferences to open the Sheetmetal Preferences dialog box.

2. Click change in one of the following lines:

◦ Bend Allowance

◦ Bends

◦ Relief

◦ Seam

◦ Miter Cuts

The Sheetmetal Preferences dialog box opens.

3. To save current settings as an external file, click Import/Export > Export preferences file. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.

Browse to a directory in which to save the file and click OK.

4. To retrieve a saved file and apply default settings to the current model, click Import/Export > Import preferences file. The File Open dialog box opens.

Browse and select an *.smd file. The settings are retrieved and applied.

When you retrieve a file whose value of SMT_SHARPS_TO_BENDS is different from the value of the corresponding configuration option for the session, the value of the configuration option will update.
