Use the Helical Sweep tool to create a sheet metal wall or surface with helical sweep geometry. First sketch the helix sweep profile and define the helix axis (axis of revolution for the helix). Then sketch a section to sweep along the helix. Finally, define the pitch (the distance between coils).

You can specify thickness for a first wall in a body when the body is not linked to the part. Keep in mind that additional options specific to Sheetmetal Design are available for the Helical Sweep tool.
