About Converting from a Sheet Metal Part to a Solid Part
Use the Convert to Solid Part tool to convert a sheet metal part into a solid part. When you convert the part, all sheet metal features are deleted from the part. This operation might be necessary in order to add specific solid features to the part. Alternatively, you can add solid features by suppressing the sheet metal convert feature in the Model Tree, modifying the solid part, and then resuming the suppressed convert feature. To suppress the feature, drag the green bar at the end of the Model Tree items above the convert feature. To resume the feature drag the bar to the end of the Model Tree items.
You can create a new solid body in the sheet metal part by clicking Model > New Body.
To access the Convert to Solid Part tool, in sheet metal mode, click Sheetmetal > Operations > Convert to Solid Part.
*
You cannot convert a single sheet metal body to a solid body, you can convert the sheet metal part to a solid part.
