About Plate Features
In the Creo Expert Moldbase plate templates a set of suppressed features is predefined. By suppressing and resuming these features the software can build most of the basic plate shapes. Relevant features are listed in the bottom area of the Plate dialog box.
The features and the according visibility status are defined for all types of plates in <EMX-loadpoint>/components/%UNIT%/plates/%SUPPLIER%/udf/feature_data.txt. Additionally, all dimension rules to drive these feature are defined in the feature data file based on the supplier and the unit.
The following are the different visibility status:
—The feature is visible. If the mold base size is changed and the default value is defined as suppressed in the feature data, the feature will be suppressed.
—The feature is always visible. In case the mold base size is changed the feature will still be visible even if the default value is defined as suppressed.
—The feature is suppressed. If the mold base size is changed, and the default value is defined as visible in the feature data, the feature become visible.
*
The visibility status can be modified manually. This is an advanced functionality and not recommended for standard plates from suppliers. Manual changes can result in models that are different from the shipped supplier plates.
*
Manual changes on the visibility status and the feature dimension are reset to default values from the feature data.txt when changing the plate type or the mold base size.
For the pryslot feature, you can set the visibility of the feature to be suppressed or visible by setting the configuration option SHOW_PRYSLOT to NO or YES.
