To Intersect Surfaces
Select two quilts to intersect and click > 
Intersect. Click References to display the names of the selected quilts.

 | • The surface intersection is removed if any of the parent quilts is modified in a way that leads to the failure of the merge operation (for example, if the edge of the quilt is extrapolated in such a way that it no longer intersects, the subsequent surface intersection is removed). • The primary quilt becomes the parent quilt for the intersect feature. |
