To Set Generative Design Options
You can specify the settings for starting local optimization as follows:
1. Click
Generative Design Options. The
Generative Design Options dialog box opens.
2. If you want to automatically start the optimization as soon as the minimum study requirements are specified, select the Start optimization automatically check box.
3. In the Refresh interval box, specify the frequency at which the model is refreshed.
4. [Optional] In the Cores to use box, specify the number of CPUs to use while performing optimization.
5. If you want to perform high fidelity FEA on the optimized model, select the Perform final simulation pass check box. For more accurate results, it is recommended to run the FEA in a dedicated simulation application, such as Creo Simulation Live or Creo Ansys Simulation, after reconstructing the model.
| The Perform final simulation pass check box is selected by default. |
| If the Perform final simulation pass check box is not selected, simulation will show only the first four modes in a modal study. |
6. If you want to save the settings across Creo Parametric sessions, select the Save options between Creo sessions check box.
7. Click OK and close the Generative Design Options dialog box.
You can set the default for the options in the
Generative Design Options dialog box using
configuration options.
