To Create or Update a Table
To create a new table or update an existing table, click SHC > Create/Update table.
Selecting a Configuration
Depending on the value set for environment variable SHC_USER_CONFIG_PATH and for the option SELECT_CONFIG you must select the configuration to be used in the Select Configuration dialog box.
Selecting a Coordinate System
To select a coordinate system when creating a table follow the steps below:
1. Depending on the value set for the option CSYS_CREATE, you are prompted to select a coordinate system or to create a new one, by selecting the origin and two edges - the X- and Y-axis.
2. Define the name of the coordinate system with the option CSYS_FORMAT.
To select a coordinate system when updating a table follow the steps below:
1. If tables exist for a view, move the pointer to the drawing view. The reference coordinate system is highlighted.
2. Click on the view to start updating.
Define Directions and Table Format
To define directions and table format, follow the steps below:
1. Depending on the values set for the options DIR_DEFAULT and SELECT_MAIN_TAB, the Directions and Table Format dialog box opens.
3. Click OK to close the dialog box.
Previewing and Editing Table Results
All detected holes and UDFs appear when the Create/Update table dialog box is opened. Check the result and click OK to close the dialog box.
Placing the Table
To place a table when creating a new table follow the steps below:
1. Select the position of the table by selecting the start and end point. If the option ONE_PICK_PLACEMENT is set to YES, only the start point must be selected.
2. With the option TABLES_AUTO_ARRANGE, it is possible to automatically place all tables together with an offset of the value you set with ARRANGE_TABLES.
To place a table when updating the table, follow the steps below:
1. All changed dimensions and parameters are updated in the table. If a hole can no longer be found, all values are deleted from the table row. Only the value in the column NR is not deleted. If the option DELETE_ROWS_IN_UPDATE is set to YES, the row is deleted.
2. Set the option SEL_POS_IN_UPDATE to NO to add the new holes at the end of the table. If set to YES, you can select an insert position in the table or create a new table. A dynamic preview of the table appears.

The results can also be written to a file by setting the options CREATE_DRW_FILE, CREATE_TAB_FILE and CREATE_NC_FILE.
