To Create an ECAD Assembly
1. Click New or File > New. The New dialog box opens.
2. Click Assembly and select ECAD from the Sub-type list.
3. To use a different template, clear the Use default template check box.
4. Type a name for the ECAD assembly or accept the default and click OK.

When you clear the Use default template check box, the New File Options dialog box opens. Select a template and click OK.
A new ECAD assembly opens.
5. Click Create/Edit Board to create a board part.

You cannot assemble a board part in an ECAD assembly, or import a board part to an ECAD assembly. You must create the board part in the ECAD assembly or import an ECAD assembly with a board from your ECAD software.
