Bend Parameters from Material
Creo+
User Interface Location: Preferences dialog box.
Description
The following enhancements provide full support for taking the bend allowance values from the material definition of the sheet metal part.
For a body linked to the part, the body material is linked to the part material.
Default values are now taken from a sheet metal preferences file (.smd). The file is configured in Sheetmetal > Set Directory Paths > Sheetmetal preferences default file of the Creo+ Options dialog box. These default values are used when a sheet metal part is created using an empty template or when a solid part is converted to a sheet metal part.
Directory paths section of Sheetmetal options.
This is useful when you want to set the material as the default source for bend allowance values for parts created through import and subsequently converted to sheet metal.
The default Y Factor in the PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS is now set to 0.5. This applies to new parts.
Benefits
More comprehensive, flexible, and consistent ways to drive bend allowance values by the material definition.
