Description
This enhancement introduces an efficient and easy workflow for copying and pasting individual annotations within the same model or across different models.
The capabilities of this enhancement include:
• Annotations can be copied from different owner features in the source model. Copied annotations are stored in a special annotation feature in the target model, which can be redefined for future updates.
• Advanced reference configuration and a docked window showing source model for efficient reference mapping during cross-model operations
• Annotation dependencies can be controlled (dependent or independent) with the config.pro option:copy_individual_annotations dependent* independent.
This applies only to the default dependency state when pasting the annotations. You can then change the dependency state for each annotation individually using the contextual menu or from the special annotation feature user interface that contains the copied annotations.
• Dependent annotations include two parameters, PTC_COPY_AE_ORIGIN and PTC_COPY_AE_ORIGIN_TYPE, to indicate their source.
• When handling annotation stacks, you can opt to copy the full stack or a portion of it using the config.pro option: full_stack_copy_on_indv_ann_sel yes no*.
