You can now add a rolling ball offset to bodies and surfaces in Generative Design.
The following types of offsets are supported:
• Preserved surface—You can offset surfaces of the starting geometry to create preserved geometry. These surfaces are called preserved surfaces. The created preserved geometry is unaffected during the optimization.
• Clearance offset with excluded body—You can add an offset around excluded bodies to create excluded geometry. This offset creates a clearance between the excluded bodies and the optimized geometry. Adding this offset is optional.
• Contact offset—You can add an offset around connected bodies to create an offset preserved region. You can restrict the contact by selecting an interaction region.

Benefits
This enhancement saves time by eliminating the need to create bodies and provides an easy-to-use method to create offsets. It enables the future use of Generative Design in Assembly mode.
