Curve-based Rosette Type
Creo+
User Interface Location: In the Composite environment:
1. Click Rosette. The Rosette Coordinate System dialog box opens.
2. Select the Properties tab.
3. Select Curve-based in the Type box.
4. Specify a curve in the Curve collector.

Description
You can now create a rosette feature with the Curve-based rosette type. This enables you to use a curve as a reference for defining the orientation angle on the ply geometry.
The draping simulation has been further refined to incorporate curve-based rosettes in determining the draping direction, as well as in evaluating orientation outcomes in both longitudinal and transverse directions.
Longitudinal orientation results obtained by performing the draping simulation based on a curve-based rosette
Curve-based rosettes can be exported to an analysis model when exporting the analysis model to HDF5 format.
Benefits
This enhancement improves productivity by providing easier and better draping results for specific ply shapes that requires the curve-based rosette type for their draping simulation.
Additional Information
Tips:
None.
Limitations:
Curve-based rosettes are not supported in Creo Simulate.
Curve-based rosettes cannot be exported to an analysis model when exporting the analysis model to NAS format.
