In Creo+ there is support for multiple surface references in the Surface Offset feature. The new functionality allows you to offset multiple surfaces from the same quilt or body simultaneously without needing to copy them into a quilt first. The previous collector is replaced with a surface set collector, enabling the standard selection methods supported by surface sets. If you invoke the tool with surfaces preselected, it will start in the Standard Offset type of the Surface offset method.
Quilt references of legacy features will be converted to the Quilt Surfaces selection rule upon Edit Definition.
In Sheetmetal, these enhancements allow to more easily create a new wall body from a solid construction body using offset of selected surfaces.
Previously, you could only offset a single reference at a time, either a quilt or a surface. This required an additional step to copy surfaces into a quilt before offsetting.
Benefits
Increased efficiency and streamlined design workflow. You can now offset multiple surfaces of the same body or quilt in one step, saving time and reducing the complexity of the task.
