Deleting Branches
You can delete branches created in collaboration history when they are no longer required. This action is intended for branches created temporarily for design exploration or conflict resolution. Deletion of branches is a permanent operation and deleted branches cannot be restored. Make sure that the selected branch is absolutely no longer needed before proceeding with deletion. The main branch cannot be deleted
When you delete a branch, the branch and its associated changes or versions are converted to read only. The Delete Branch command is available to the user who created the session and to users with delete session permission.
A branch can only be deleted if it is not currently in use. If another user is actively working in the branch, the deletion will not proceed, and an error message is displayed.
To delete a branch:
1. Select the branch in the collaboration history.
2. Right-click and selectDelete Branch. A confirmation message appears.
3. Click OK.
On successful deletion, a notification appears indicating that the selected branch has been deleted.
