Creating a Branch
In the collaboration history, you can create multiple branches for exploring design variations. A root version is required for creating a new exploratory branch in the collaboration history. The exploratory branches created are differentiated in color from the main branch.
1. In the collaboration history, select any change or version to create a new branch.
2. From the context menu, click . Enter the name for the branch and add description.
3. Click OK.
When working with branches, the current active branch name is displayed in the graphics window.
| • Once a branch is created, it cannot be deleted. • When a branch is created successfully, a new change, referred to as Branch created, is created by the system. |
Activating a Different Branch
When working on a current active branch, you can go back and activate a change in a different branch.
1. In the collaboration history, select a non-active branch.
2. In the context menu, do any one of the following:
◦ For latest change on the branch, click Activate. Alternatively, select the branch and click Activate Latest or double-click the branch to activate the latest change.
◦ For non-latest change on the branch, click Activate and View.
