Interacting with the Creo AI Assistant
You can interact with the Creo AI Assistant in one of the following ways:
• Select a suggested question.
• Enter a custom prompt.
|
|
Prompts submitted in Creo Assist consume AI credits. Start with Creo Advise for general guidance and use Creo Assist only when context‑aware assistance is required.

Session Limitations
The assistant manages conversation length to maintain response quality:
• After 20 prompts, the assistant notifies you that the conversation is becoming long.
• After 30 prompts, the assistant stops responding and instructs you to start a new session.
• When a conversation exceeds the allowable context length, older messages are removed, and the assistant notifies you that earlier content is no longer included.
Starting a Conversation
Start by using the onboarding prompts to explore the capabilities of the Creo AI Assistant. These prompts help you understand what types of questions to ask and how to refine follow-up prompts.
Getting Started with Prompts
This section explains how to interact with the Creo AI Assistant using prompts. You can begin with broad questions to understand what the assistant can help with and then refine your prompts to get more specific guidance or results.
You can ask for help with Creo features, tools, and workflows. The assistant can explain available options, point out prerequisites, and guide you when there are multiple ways to achieve a result. For example, you might ask how to create or modify a feature, understand a workflow, or control a specific result in a model or drawing.
You can also use prompts to get help with engineering concepts, material selection, and engineering calculations. The assistant can explain formulas, suggest alternatives, and translate engineering logic into Creo parameters and relations so the results become part of your model. This includes support for both fundamental calculations and more advanced design approaches, such as lattice structures or composite materials.
When enabled by your license, you can use prompts to analyze and query your Creo models. This includes checking relations and parameters, evaluating model properties such as weight or manufacturability, and identifying features or components based on defined criteria.

If a prompt is missing information, the assistant may ask follow-up questions to clarify your intent. Providing additional context, such as dimensions, parameters, or material choices, helps generate more accurate results.

The AI Assistant cannot select geometry or identify specific surfaces, edges, or regions in the model. Select the required geometry before running commands that depend on it.
