You can assign a material to parts that you create without Creo Elements/Direct Part Library. When you assign a material, the following properties are set:
• material description
• density
• transparency
• reflectance
• part color
• mirror power
This information is stored in the contents data for the part.
Creo Elements/Direct Part Library comes with a standard material list, but you can add new materials to this list.
You cannot assign material to the parts that are loaded from Creo Elements/Direct Part Library.
