About guides
The Guides tab of the Spline Channel Editor allows you to create and modify virtual guides. Virtual guides are not necessarily physical objects. They are not a part of the final harness.
Virtual guides help you to quickly route channel edges. In the Structure Browser, they are visible in a container under the harness assembly. Channel edges are not associated with their virtual guides and though virtual guides can be deleted after use, it is advisable to retain them for further channel modifications.
Virtual guides can have any diameter because Cabling only compares the center of the guide with the channel edge interpolation points when you route a channel edge through the guide. However, for better visualization, specify a diameter that is larger than the solid channel.
To create or modify guides,
1. Click Spline Channel and then, in the Channel group, click Create. The Spline Channel Editor dialog box opens.
2. Click the Guides tab.
