Machining customization overview
You can tailor Creo Elements/Direct Machining in various ways to match the needs of your design process.
The examples in the following topics illustrate the customization concept that is used throughout the Machining features dialogs. Although the examples illustrate specific features, the concepts apply to other parameters of the same feature and to other feature types. See the list of variables and feature classes in Data table customization for the individual names.
Outer Threads are simple machining features like the others, thus the concepts explained for holes apply to outer threads as well. Machining gets the values for the threads from the following (default) tables:
mach_adv_library-outer_threads-tap-table
mach_adv_library-outer_threads-thread_dia-table
(instead of mach_adv_library-tappedholes-tap-table
mach_adv_library-tappedholes-thread_dia-table).
