Model versioning allows you to load multiple versions of parts/assemblies in parallel and to compare the models before deciding to go for one version, that is, to directly replace the current original with a particular version. The main features of model versioning are:
• Versions and assemblies containing versions can be stored to the file system. This is particularly useful when working with package or session files.
Versions cannot be stored back to the database.)
• Loading a part as a version adheres to the same rules as loading a part as a shared part.
• Within the load dialog, you can specify whether or not to load a part or an assembly as a version.
