Set the mold defaults
You can set a number of default parameters when working with mold parts, such as default mold components and color settings. These defaults are used when working with other Mold Design operations.
To set the mold part defaults,
1. Click Mold Base and then, in the Setup group, click (dialog box launcher). The Mold Settings dialog box opens.
2. Set any of the following defaults as required:
Assembly sets the default mold assembly.
Block sets the default mold block.
Part sets the default mold part.
Tool Sfs sets the default assembly in which to keep parting and fill surfaces.
Core Owner sets the default assembly in which to keep the core parts.
Cavity Owner sets the default assembly in which to keep the cavity parts.
Other/Slider sets the default assembly in which to keep all the other form parts (such as sliders).
Color opens the Color Settings menu, in which you can set default colors for Wall Thickness and Part Splitting features, and also the graphical Feedback used by Mold Design.
Color Form assigns the Part Splitting feedback colors to the relevant parts themselves. For example, with this option switched on, and the Core color set to dark blue, when you create the core part, it will be dark blue.
Keep Feat and Keep Set set the default selection for these options (on or off) in the other mold command menus.
Auto Look Up Surfaces automatically finds parting and fill surfaces when creating forms. If any edges are missing, a warning is issued.
Click OK when you are finished.
