Analysis types
FE Analysis/Stress and FE Analysis/Thermal Analysis provide the analysis types that are most frequently used at the first design validation level:
Linear Static Analysis: used to find the stress and displacements of a structure with a given set of loads and constraints.
P-Linear Static Analysis: Linear Static Analysis with adaptivity using p-elements.
Linear Static H-Adaptive: Linear Static Analysis with adaptivity using h-elements.
Modal Analysis: used to find the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a structure.
P-Modal Analysis: Modal Analysis with adaptivity using p-elements.
Linear Buckling Analysis: used to find the lowest multiplication factor for the load that will make a structure buckle and to find the shape of the buckled structure.
Steady State Thermal Analysis: used to find temperature distribution and heat flux.
