Modify loads and boundary conditions
You can modify loads and boundary conditions by specifying the LBC and modifying the parameters.
You can also modify local symbol characteristics in this menu.
To delete loads and boundary conditions (LBCs),
1. Click Modify and then, in the LBC group, click Delete.
2. Using the mouse, click the symbol for the load or boundary condition on your design model that you want to delete.
3. While in Select mode you can use the viewport controls to adjust the display and optimize the view of the design and you can use the Structure Browser to specify the LBC.
When you click on the symbol, the load or boundary condition is deleted.
4. Repeat the procedure for any other LBCs to be deleted.
5. The Select dialog box can be used to select multiple LBCs.
Probe Selection can be used to select hidden LBCs.
6. Click to validate your changes.
To copy an LBC,
1. Click Modify and then, in the LBC group, click Copy. The Copy LBC dialog box opens.
2. If different from the default, specify the LBC to copy by clicking LBC and using one of the following ways:
3. Select the LBC in the Browser, and apply the selection.
Click the LBC on the part.
Use the Select tool.
Enter the name of the LBC in the user input line including double quotes and the path name - for example, "/p1/study1/tr_constr1".
4. Click Owner Study under Target and specify the owning study.
5. Click Name, and enter the name for the LBC in the user input line, including double quotes - for example, "study2" or in the data entry field.
6. Click .
To modify the symbol size,
1. Click Modify and then, in the LBC group, click the arrow next to Symbol Size.
2. Click Factor.
3. Click the symbol to modify.
4. Enter a value for the scaling factor (0.5 to 2.0).
To reset the symbol size,
1. Click Modify and then, in the LBC group, click the arrow next to Symbol Size.
2. Click Reset.
3. Click the symbol to reset (or use the Select tool).
